Similes

A simile compares two things with as or like. As brave as a lion does not mean the person is a lion. It means very brave. The picture helps the reader see the idea.

Use the meaning column to check the feeling, then borrow one example and change the names to fit your story. A few similes are repeated. Keep the row that matches your sentence, and skip the blank ones. One or two similes in a composition are enough.
